Chelsea made a comeback win after beating Aston Villa 2-1 at Villa park. Kortney Hause netted a goal in the 43rd minute after a rebound from Kepa, the Chelsea show stopper. The away side came back stronger after the break and equalised through Christian Pulisic in the 60th minute. Oliver Giroud sealed the scoring in the 62nd minute which put Chelsea 4th in the Premier league standings. Villa remain in the 19th spot struggling to remain in the top flight league. Chelsea showed a lot of strength through the performance and are likely to become better through the addition of Timo Werner from Leipzig.

The resumption of matches in the Premier League started off with Arsenal's clash with City. The game was off to a calm start each team sizing the other up. Pablo Mari was injured after 24 minutes into the first half and David Luiz came in as a substitute.City picked up momentum and just before the end of the first half Raheem Sterling scored after David Luiz made a horrendous error. David Luiz also impeded Mahrez in the box at the start of the second half which made him to be redcarded. A penalty was given which Kevin De Bruyne converted from the spot. Phil Foden sealed the win in stoppage time after Sergio Aguero hit the goal post to make the score line 3-0 against the Gunners. City are off to a good start except the fact that Eric Garcia was injured after a collision with Ederson. Guardiola has however confirmed that he is consious and further assessment is being made on his condition.
