Manchester City outplay ARSENAL!!!

The resumption of matches in the Premier League started off with Arsenal's clash with City. The game was off to a calm start each team sizing the other up. Pablo Mari was injured after 24 minutes into the first half and David Luiz came in as a substitute.City picked up momentum and just before the end of the first half Raheem Sterling scored after David Luiz made a horrendous error. David Luiz also impeded Mahrez in the box at the start of the second half which made him to be redcarded. A penalty was given which Kevin De Bruyne converted from the spot. Phil Foden sealed the win in stoppage time after Sergio Aguero hit the goal post to make the score line 3-0 against the Gunners. City are off to a good start except the fact that Eric Garcia was injured after a collision with Ederson. Guardiola has however confirmed that he is consious and further assessment is being made on his condition.

UEFA has banned Manchester City from participating in the Champions League and all its competitions for 2 years over financial fair play issues.The club believes the investigation was flawed and UEFA were out to get them from the start by acting as judge,jury and executioner.Man City can appeal the decision to Court of Arbitration of Sports (which has power to confirm the ban,reduce the penalties or send it back to CFCB) or go to the courts in Switzerland.The Swiss Supreme Court has the power to confirm or alter the ban. We are yet to know their next move but this decision will obviously affect other clubs .Clubs that have been investigated over financial fair play issues such as Paris Saint Germain may have their cases reopened. We will notify you in case of any developments.

LIVERPOOL OUT OF THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE!!!

After being beaten by Atletico Madrid 1-0 away and at home 3-2,Liverpool were knocked out of Champions league in the round of 16. The European Champions hopes of defending their title was ended because they lost 3-2 to Atletico Madrid which was an aggregate of 4:2.Atletico Madrid played quite defensively and relied mostly on counter attacks. Jurgen Klopp said this about the game,"I am completely happy with the perfomance.It is so difficult to play a side like this."Klopp added he was "searching for the right words." I don't understand with the quality they have the football they play.They could play proper football but they stand deep and play counter attacks.We accept it,of course ,but it doesn't feel right tonight.I realise am really a bad loser,especially when the boys put such an effort against such world class players on the other side who defend in two rows of four.We know in the past two years we have had some lucky moments in the Champions League-you...

Man City just won their 3rd straight Carabao Cup title (7th overall) after winning 2-1 against Aston Villa .At the beginning of the season they still won the Community Shield ,although some would argue these are less prestigious Cups they show that he takes all trophies seriously.Pep was a creative and gifted midfielder who usually played in a play making role as a defensive midfielder.
