Arsenal starve wolves

Arsenal are enjoying something of a mini-revival having beaten Southampton in the league last midweek, Sheffield United in the FA Cup last weekend and then a poor Norwich side in a midweek league game.Nuno Espirito Santo’s men were in excellent form and presented a major step up in class for Mikel Arteta’s men. The results for Arsenal this last week have masked their deficiencies and Wolves we incapable of exposing them.

And speaking on Match of the Day, Keown can only see good signs for the future.

“They’re looking so much more resolute,” he saidI’m immensely impressed with Arteta, I think that’s the first sort of statement where I think that this is the manager now to take Arsenal forward.they were getting bodies around.as a team, they were always in contact with each other. There was no space at all for Wolves and they could just mop up nicely at the back. This was probably as good as a performance as I’ve seen. As a group today, that was the best performance under Arteta.”

Arsenal will be hoping that the team keep up the performance level when they face another crucial game against Leicester City on Tuesday as they look to close the gap on the top four.
